Energy Barrier

Energy Barrier is a space blanket, based on NASA technology. Regular insulation works like a sponge to absorb heat while Energy Barrier actually reflects heat. When laid on top of your existing insulation, it reflects radiant heat away from insulation in your home's attic in the summer. Cooler insulation means a cooler home.

In the winter, Energy Barrier reflects your home's heat back into the insulation and then back into your home. According to The US Dept. of Energy, attic installed Energy Barrier will reduce heat gain and loss through the ceiling by roughly 40%, this means significant energy savings to you.

Many independent studies have tested their results and reported savings ranging from 12% up to 39%. Energy Barrier is required  by building codes in California, Texas and Florida.
