Free Energy Consultations

The Energy Saving Technologies Free Home Energy consultation is the first step to assess how much energy your home consumes and to evaluate what measures you can take to make your home more energy efficient. This consultation will show you problems that will, when corrected, save you significant amounts of money over time.

During the consultation, Energy Saving Technologies will pinpoint where your home is losing energy. Our Energy Consultant will determine the efficiency of your home's heating and cooling systems as well as show you ways to conserve hot water and electricity.

Our Energy Consultant will perform the following:
(this assessment takes approximately 30-45 minutes)

1. Review your energy bills to determine your homes energy efficiency.  In particular, we will look for seasonal differences which will enable us to design a system based on the greatest energy savings.
2. Ask questions regarding your energy usage.
3. Access your attic to determine the amount of attic ventilation.
4. Determine source of heat loss and gain.
5. Take temperature readings and look for evidence of excessive attic heat.
6. Determine if insulation is adequate and advise on insulation needs.
7. Inspect duct work in attic.
8. Determine greatest source areas of radiant heat.
9. Provide you with 10 quick steps you can take to start saving on your energy bill right away.
10. Inform you of available state and federal tax credits.
